The Animal Welfare Committee is a new committee nestled under the MOVE umbrella. We strive to provide Georgia Tech students with the opportunity to volunteer with various Animal Welfare associations in the greater Atlanta area, as well as educate students about what they can do to support these wonderful organizations. We intend to achieve our goals by hosting fundraisers at Tech to support local animal shelters and sanctuaries, as well organizing training events for students who want to become certified volunteers at specific Animal Welfare associations. The Animal Welfare Committee is looking for dedicated members, as we plan to meet once every week for an hour, the location is to be determined. In addition, training events (to become a certified volunteer) may take up several hours on the weekend. For the planned off campus projects we typically depend on volunteers to drive in carpools, however, transportation may vary between projects. We invite all lovers of wet noses, furry paws, and whiskers to partake in our events!
